  1. How would every like to cut your grass with a machete instead of a lawnmower? Mariano Rivera had to cut his grass with a mechette.

  4. I was suprised when I found out that Mariano Rivera grew up not knowing any of the best baseball players, and that he doest know that much about baseball and yet he wants to play baseball.

  5. It was Interesting that he was found out about because he pitched in one game and now the yanks want to see him pitch and it most of been hard to practice little stuff to practice but he manged and got the job done.

  6. I think it is crazy how Mariano Rivera grew up with very little things and made a living out of it. Also how he grew up on a fishing boat and became one of the best Players in the MLB

  7. He was in the world series and did not get rattled or blow a save that is cool for a young pitcher with no curve.

    1. Yeh, it had to be a stuggle because most pitchers rely on their curveball to get a strikeout. And especially to win a world series, that just explains how dominant his other pitchers were.

    2. I know that i could never do that unless I make it in to the MLB.

    3. Ya it is, especially someone who came from another country and grew up with nothing.

    4. this is a good inspiration to see a guy come from having nothing to making it to the mlb

  8. I would like to discuss how would you feel if you came from playing baseball with fishing net, carboard gloves and sticks bats, to going to the majors and going to the world series. Would you be over whelmed

    1. It is amazing because not many people make it to the Mlb and then on top of it he goes and wins a world series. It would be amzing you know.

      Delete
    2. That would be amazing, especially from coming from a fishing town, and how he played with carboard, a stick, and a string ball.

    3. It must be a great feeling because of how he had to play before getting a glove and a bat.

  10. I wonder how bad it must have hurt for his elbow to be blown and the pain of a torn UCL. I would be very depressed.

  11. I want to discuss how would a kid like him handle all of the changes, from starting on a fishing boat, to trying to make it to the MLB, his life is truly inspiring. I find it hard to believe how a small town kid found a way to be successful, and even wining a World Series. Also would you think it would be hard to learn the game as fast as he did without knowing english?

  12. How would you feel from starting from just not even knowing the sport to becoming one of the best pitchers in the league and just to win one world series. What would your emotions be like compared to him.

    1. I would be the happiest person in the world, becauase of the journey he took was remarkable. From starting on a fishing boat to winning a world series, I would be really happy.

    2. i would be in shock i wont know what to say know that you came from a very poor town and now he makes a lot of money i would be overwhelmed

      Delete
    3. I would be so happy, I would be glad that I even got to step foot in Yankee stadium. And to be as good as he is it would be aamazing

    1. I looked at the pictures again and I see where the picture of him on his knees in the middle of the diamond would go.

    3. ya that would feel really good to be that successful.

    4. I think it would be a lifetime achievement just to get into the MLB. But to even be a starter is better.

    5. I'm sure it is a great feeling

    6. I think that striking out one person in the MLB would be a great feeling. But he wins a World Series, like gets the last out to winthe series that would just be amazing LOL

  15. I wonder how the new manager happened to fit in when he joined the Yankees? What are your thoughts on this.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think he watched the Yankees and got background information on the team and the Players.

      Delete
    2. I think that they had big expectations for him.

      Delete
    3. I think that it was hard for the new manager to fit in with the new yankkes crew.

      Delete
  16. I think its trust worthy because he talk about how he broke the bat and he also talks about how he wins games.

  17. That must be really sad to leave a stadium that you grew up in and did so much in.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, because he grew up on it and did so much in the stadium. Wouldnt it make you sad if you were Mariano?

      Delete
    2. It would be super sad and I just would never want to leave. But he had a great career and is one of the pitchers to ever throw a baseball.

      Delete
  18. Mariano Rivera has had a great career. He went from catching fish on a boat making less than 2-3 dollars a week to striking out MLB pros in the 8th and 9th innings. He is one of the best pitchers to ever throw a baseball. Just incredible.
