  1. What I found interesting and surprising was the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
I found it interesting was that JFK wanted to ban Nuclear Testing.
I found it surprising was that the Soviet Union agreed and signed the treaty.

  2. The thing that interested me most was that he was very determined in his presidency, to see what he accomplish in his years of being the president. Another thing that interested me was that he was catholic but he wasn't a catholic president.

    1. He was the youngest president so he was the most determined to change the U.S.

  3. I read about where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. He shot him on the sixth story behind the boxes where the window is. The thing that surprised me was if he shot there, the people would have heard the glass break and would have went away as fast as possible, but when l looked at the picture where he shot, the window was open.

    1. Kyla, he probably opened the window.

  4. The book talked about where Lee Harvey Oswald shot John F. Kennedy. It also talks about where the bullet hit. It also said when It hit his head the bullet penetrated into his brain out his forehead and hit the body gaurd. The bullet took off JFK’s top of the head

    1. The bullet didn't go through his forehead it went out the top of his head taking only the back chunk of his head out.

    2. The bullet didn't hit the boy guard, it hit the governor sitting in front of J.F.K. At the end of the book, it showed a picture of the bullets path through J.F.K and the governor.

  5. I thought it was ridiculous how Lee Harvey Oswald just assassinated the president, then he goes and kills officer Tipit. He could have just been asking if he saw anyone suspicious, but he confirmed the suspicions of being JFK's assassin.

    1. Well, he got out of the car because Oswald was described as the person who shot JFK. But still, he should've at least TRIED to play dumb, but he didn't. Usually, if you assassinate someone, you don't try to kill someone else.

    2. Yea, Tippit was just seeing if he saw anything and he shot him

    3. I totally agree. What if officer Tipit was just going to ask him if he saw anything suspicious and he could have just gotten away without any problems.

  6. The book talks about what happened when Kennedy got shot and how the first bullet went through to governor Conally. It also talks about how Kennedy went into the thorburn position when he was shot and how he did not hear the final shot.

    1. Yes I thought it was weird that the bullet went through both of the men.

    2. Ya. I was also surprised that the bullet went through both men. I thought that the rifle that he had must've had a lot of firepower

  7. I was surprised that Oswald didn't have a good escape plan.He should've tried heading for the border. I mean if your going to assassinate the President of the United States Of America, you should at least have a plan that might work. I suppose he tried getting on that one bus but still. What do you guys think?

    1. Yea, because when you try to kill the president of the United States of America you should have an escape route planned ahead.

    2. But he was planning to go to russia but they kicked him out of the country so he couldn't.

    3. Ya I think it was foolish that Oswald didn't think things through and at least come up with an escape plan.

    4. I agree, he should have planned it better and instead of waiting to get on the bus to Mexico, he should have gotten on it right away.

  8. I was surprised that Lee Oswald shot the cop in a neighborhood full of people watching him. Lee should have waited to shoot him because what if he didn't mention the shooting then he could just walk away without killing anyone. Lee Oswald stupid for shooting the cop because what if he was caught? He would be in jail for life.

    1. He could have done that because he thought the officers wouldn't have known it was him because there was more people there so they wouldn't have guessed him.

    2. I was surprised that he didn't get executed for killing an officer and JFK.

    3. Yes, I also think that it was unnecessary for Lee Oswald to shoot the cop. He could've just talked his way out of it. Also, Oswald was caught for shooting the cop.

    4. Like I said to Julia 2 days ago, he shouldv'e at least try playing dumb then if he really had to, he could've shot him. But I would've tried avoiding shooting anyone else.

  9. The part that interested me was when ever he shot the General and he left his gun there. Wouldn't the officers find it if they looked around to find out who did it and find out it was Lee Oswald who shot him? Another thing that surprised me was how Lee Oswald wanted to kill himself when he couldn't stay in Russia. Why would you kill yourself just because you couldn't stay in a country?

    1. He hid it till the next day so if there was a cop in the area, he wouldn't be questioned about it. It was a smart choice if eh hid it well enough.

  10. I was surprised when lee tried shooting the president 3 times. In the story didn't it say that he was in the army? Cause if he did would've he been a good shooter. Or was it hard for him because the car that JFK was riding was moving to fast.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I think it was because that JFK was moving fast before he got shot and because that Lee Harvey Oswald was just bad at aiming. He shot at the wrong angle and height.

      Delete
    2. He also pulled the trigger very slowly. and the car was moving fast throuhg the parade like you said.

    3. He could've been a good shooter, and maybe it was just the gun that was off. It said that the first shot hit a branch that he couldn't see so there's also that chance of uncalculated events.

  11. I am wondering if it is a coincidence that every man who entered the White House in a year ending in zero had not left the White House alive since 1840. It seems very weird and planned.

    1. Maybe they were planning it to get them in that day, I would really be worried to go in the white house.

    2. It has to be a coincidence because it's not like this is going to be planned out for over a 100 years.
