  1. It shocked me that that one girl brought all of those clothes and fur coats and that's what made me wonder how low long they are on the boat because if they are on for just a week then that's rediculess.
    p.s. hey

    1. I was wondering if maybe she needed those for where she was traveling. Maybe she was staying somewhere for a few months. Either way, all of that must have costed a fortune and she must have been obsessed with all of it.

  2. Yes, I thought that was pretty weird she brought THAT many dresses and accessories.

  3. Hey it also surprised me because did she bring all of those clothes because she was staying awhile or just to show off and look rich and important.

  4. I think that someone should have been watching that kid when he was climbing all around. I want to know where those kids parents are! He could have fallen overboard and no one would've known! What do you think?

  5. The most interesting thing so far for me would most likely be that the one woman brought so many clothing items, fur coats and random expensive things. Also why is there so many food options on the menu?

  6. On pages 40-42 I noticed a pattern. Each time Frankie did something, he didn't get in trouble. First, he could have killed himself or another person by hanging on to that machine. Second, he spied on the "Black Gang". He did get in trouble for either of those. Where is the security?

  7. something that intersad me was the guy that touch all the pictures of the titanic

  8. something that intersetd me was that the frist class passagers got to go on the other daeks.

  9. It really surprised me that two kids and their mother were killed between the two sections of the broken Titanic. That would be so scary.

  10. Something that interested me was how the titanic broke into two pieces while in the process of sinking.

  11. I was shocked when the book said that people weren't worried about the boat when there was a large booming sound on the bottom of the boat. I was also surprised that the 3rd class passengers didn't tell anyone about the sound they heard and how they felt the ground shaking.

    1. I agree, Kelly. I think that more people should have been aware that the ship might be sinking. Especially after hearing the call for icebergs, they should know that something had happened to the ship. Who would have thought that the unsinkable ship with no worry would be one of the most tragic sinkings in the world.

  12. At one point in reading this book, I realized they had the lights on until the ship sank. That confuses me because I thought that the boilers rooms were the first floor that the water hit. Wouldn't that cause the lights to go out right away? Another thing that I was confused at was the part in which a man locked the other man on the lower floor when water was rushing in. I don't understand why he did that because it's not going to help him in any way. How did people even know that this event happened if no one else was there to witness that?

  13. it really shocked me that all of those men were trying to fight there way onto the boats, and they were supposed to.

    1. I agree, they should have known they weren't going to get on, but at the same time, you really can't blame them for trying to save themselves.

    2. I agree also, they should have let the men on also because they should have a living chance just like the woman and children.

  14. why was there not a different boat for men because the could alone get on the boats if there were no women around.

  15. What i don't gets is why didn't they have boats for everyone like what you have thought they would have boats for everyone i would do that so know one die like i would understand if people die on the boats after the titanic went down and everyone got off they should have thought that throw

    1. I was also confused when they said this. I know that I read the first designer of the Titanic had the design that everyone was saved but then it changed but people were calling it unsinkable so they didn't put many lifeboats because they also thought the boat was unsinkable.

  16. I don't understand why they couldn't go back and save the people in the water instead of leaving them in the water. But when they finally decided to, they came back to late and mostly everyone was dead.

    1. They most likely didn't want the nearly dead people to sink their life boat with their weight.

    2. I was also surprised that when they sent the distress call that no boat came from the shore to pick anyone out of the water. Until it was too late...

    3. I agree, Cheyenne. I would hate to be someone to hear those calls and not be able to save them. I think they didn't go to help them because that would just add more people to the boat, and they were unlikely to actually survive.

    4. I know! It was really disturbing to read about! It made me really upset to think about. You'd think they would want to save as many people as possible but I guess not.

    5. It really surprised me that no one wanted to save the people that were in the water dying. You'd think that someone would row the boat to save all those people from the freezing waters. But no one moved. No one even replied to their cries. It is pretty scary to think about.

    6. I agree, but at the same time, the lifeboats could have sunk, and then you'd have a lot more dead people.

    7. same like they had room on there boats but it seemed they they didn't care if they die for not

  17. I was really shocked that barely anyone thought that the ship might sink. I know it had the title 'unsinkable,' but you'd think someone would have even the slightest idea the ship would sink. I was also kind of upset about how only women and children got to be saved in boats. I understand I should be glad because I'm a girl, and understand why because that's how it's always been.. But at the same time, women did have rights for a long time, and then one day we're better than them and deserve to be saved? It should be a choice to stay back, save yourself, or help out, not be forced.

    1. I thought the same thing. The men that wanted to should have been able to go with and save their wives and families.

    2. Yes, I definitely, think that someone should have thought to be more prepared because, obviously the ship was sinkable.

    3. I agree, Taylor. I think it definitely added a different feel for the people that did survive. I would have not wanted to leave my husband, father, or uncle on that ship. Also, I think the Titanic did that because women could care for a family more easily than a man, and the children still had a life ahead of them.

  18. Why wouldn't Lightroller save himself and go with his wife

    1. I was also confused when this part happened. If I were in his place I would have gone with her.

    2. I had the same thought. You'd think he would want to be with his wife and not die.

    3. He probably wanted to be a leader and seem brave to the other men, so he didn't leave. He'd rather stay and help the other guys, rather than go with and possibly save his wife.

    4. It would be better if he just went to save himself and his wife. Maybe he wouldn't have died then.

  19. it shocked me about hoe dumb people could be. nothing is unstopable, like how the titanic was supposed to be unsinkable how do people now they never seen it they just heard it and thought it was true. Its like you seen something on an ad or comercial and you think it works and you have to have it.

    2. *how.... I agree. How are we supposed to know that people are telling the truth without pictures?

  20. How did the Carpathia not immediately find the Titanic? They knew exactly where it was because the Titanic called them or whatever and they found the life rafts...

    1. I was wondering the same thing. At first I thought it was because it had sunk, or the lights went out, but you'd still be able to hear people screaming from like a mile away..

    2. well if u think about is they went 7 diffrent ways because for ice bregs

  21. It was good because the carpatha saved all the other people but most of them died.
