Book Clubs - They Called Themselves the KKK


Now's your chance to communicate with other groups that are also reading your book.  What do you want to discuss?  What do you want to hear their thoughts about?

    I want to talk about the beginning of the book.The part of the beginning i want to talk about is the prank rituals that they have.I think it is kind of weird that they have to do that and not a special saying.I think they should have a special saying instead. I wonder why they used pranks., I want to know if they ever changed it to a special ritual or speech of some kind that you had to do.

    My part of the book that i am talking about is the part when the ku klux klan wasn't really racist in the beginning. They made up the group as a fun group where they could hang out and have fun not a hate group.
    My thoughts on that part are that the kkk wasn't really evil then it was more about small pranks and jokes. I also think that it wasn't originally meant to be a hate group and they just wanted to have some fun. My question is do you think the same way or do you think that they started as a hate group

      I think they started as a hate group but they didn't know at the time. Then as they got older the realized it and made the hate group even worse

      I agree the same way as you do jon. That means I agree that they turned out to be a terrorist group after a while then turned into a hate group

    The part of the book i want to talk about is when they The group started as a fun group for some friends. IT started as that but then ended up being a hate group. I think even though it started as a fun group how did it end up to be a hate group. The people in the KKK Probably didn't want it to be a hate group but they were having fun doing mean things to people.
