  1. Part of Book: The Japanese-Americans had to take a survey sort of thing for the government. They didn't really know how to answer questions 27 and 28 because they had to answer with would they swear unqualified allegiance to American and if they would forswear any form of allegiance to the Japanese emperor, to any other foreign government, power, or organization... A lot of them said no.
My Thoughts: They are Japanese-Americans! They should be able to do what they want when they want! If they want to be apart of the government and give confidential information to other organizations or governments , which they probably wouldn't from reading their answers because a few Japanese-Americans said that when they put no they didn't care if they took their freedom away considering they didn't have any anyways. Maybe, if the American government gave Japanese-Americans a break fro what happened to Pearl Harbor and gave them some freedom like everybody else they would have said yes. I can understand why they said not to the question.
My Question: Do you think the American government should give more freedom to the Japanese-Americans?

  2. Ummm... You live in America! It was so long ago, it still matters, but America has changed so much since then that it probably most likely won't happen again for like NEVER!

  3. Why do you think it took them 3-5 years in prison to figure out that they were not a threat?
