Chapter 4 was HUGE in terms of what we learned about the Logans, their community, and one of the main events of the story. Take some time to think about what you'd like to discuss. Then create a comment that asks a question. Reply to others' comments.
I'd like to discuss about who is Mama gonna get to sign for Mr.Turner. I have no clue who it would be what do you think?
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be someone with enough money to pay the bill. Who has enough money in their community? Do you think the Logan's have enough money?

DeleteMama tells Mr.Turner that she could get someone to back hs rent and shop at another store for him. How is Mama going to pull of getting everyone to boycot the Wallace store?

DeleteThey probably didn't do anything. It's probably just because they owned land. Remember, the Wallace's don't own anything either. The store is Mr. Granger's.

DeleteI was surprised that Stacey actually told his mom the truth because it's a big thing to confess and I thought that he was going to lie and it said in the book when they were with Mr. Morrison that after he told Mr. Morrison that he was going to tell mom and the others were like what and Stacey said it's ok or don't worry.

DeleteI was surprised too because Stacey seems to be scared to tell his mom but yet I think he wants to tell his mom so that she can help him through it.I think it is cool that Mr.morrison is there for them and makes them do stuff that they don't want to but I think he knows that if he tells his mom that things will go good

ReplyDeleteIf everyone boycotts and then finds someone to sign for them Mr.Granger would have to give them their money then they could keep buying from other store for less and they would be able to pay most of their rent. Right???

ReplyDeleteI bet they were with the night men. But I think it's more whites in the neighborhood. Did you know that some sharecroppers were white? Like Jeremy's dad - he's a sharecropper.
