During part four, we got to walk a mile in Jack Will's shoes. Has your opinion of him changed? Go back to your Halloween post. Read what you said about him. Then tell us if your opinion has changed or not with a description of why that happened. Reply to each other.
October Post
Before i thought that he was a big fat jerk, and i was right. If I was with one my friends then they were talking about him that way, i would slap him, but still that is very mean, especially when auggie was kinda the weird new kid, and jack was his only friend.

DeleteYes but he didn't mean to say thous thing and he would of been nice if he seen the bob fet costum and he mitove went and talked with auggie.

DeleteIn my old comment i thought that maybe Jack just wanted to fit in and be liked. I still think the same thing. Now that Jack has said that if he could pick any one in the whole 5th grade to hang out out with he would choose August.

DeleteBefor I thought that jack will is not nice and like why would he say that like why dude like you tryed to help and auigge thought you were good friends but then you dised him like why dude why.Know I think that jack will is nice and that later in the book he will exsplane to auigge and he will under stand and be cool with it and then ever thing will be back to normel.

DeleteMy old comment was what was wrong with Jack Will? And i feel like punching him. Well now that I've read Jacks's story(And accidentally over-read) I'm changing my mind about him. I think he's actually a nice guy but like Mr. Tushman said even nice people sometimes don't think and do dumb things once in a while.

DeleteMy point of view changed about Jack will bescause at halloween he was mean to August but now he punched Julian in the mouth because he said "Jack now you dont have to work with that freak." August and he said in the chapter "And August is a pretty cool guy". Sooo..... thats what changed my point of view.

ReplyDeleteOkay, so before I thought he was like SUPER MEAN!! Like why Jack!!! But now my opinion has changed a little bit since Halloween. It's changed because now we actually got to hear from Jack what he thought. He said he didnt mean what he said. He thought Auggie was going to be in the Boba Fett, so he said the mean things about the bleeding scream.. But still... That was mean...
ReplyDeleteBefore i thought: why is jack so mean Aggie he was at the halloween party to have fun and not to be bulled. I have change my mind and Jack is not so bad he is getting nicer.
ReplyDeleteI sorta changed over to thinking that Jack is a good kid because he punched Julian (GO JACK) for saying something mean about Auggie even tho they were "ex friends". And I think that he didn't mean what he said to Julian about Auggie on Halloween, but still why would he say that????? I guess to keep his friends or to get popular, well whatever it is that made him say that was NOT nice and he shouldn't have said that. So I guess in my perspective Jack isn't what I though he was
ReplyDeleteMy opinion has not changed a single bit mostly because Jack Will is still a total jerk. He didn't want to do it in the first place. His mom made him think about it and the only reason he did it was 'cause he felt bad for August. I still hate Jack Will. When he saw August he freaked out like what the heck come on he is still a little boy just like you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI used to think that it was very mean of Jack to say that. I still do, but before, I thought he was just plain mean. Now that I read this part of the book, I realize that Jack really likes August and he only said that, because he wasn't thinking. He realised that August is a great friend. He even punched Julian after he said something mean about August.
ReplyDeleteAt first I wanted to kill him. :-/ But know I think a little differently about Jack but I still don’t get why he said all if those things. And also it was awesome how Jack stood up for August, well he shouldn’t have used violence but still.
