We've been discussing the book with our table groups. Now it's time to branch out and find out what others that are reading this book think. Take some time to think about a part of the book that would make for a good discussion. It can be any part from the beginning to the part you read for today.

I want to talk about the part when Germany started raiding Denmark. I thought that all of the kids were terrified. What do you think? The part that I thought was most interesting was when a bunch of the kids decided to start stealing guns from the germans to "slow then down". What do you think?

ReplyDeleteThe part that I thought was most interesting so far was when they stole the gun and the gun amo. Then when they went back to steel gunpowder but stole the underwear instead. I think that part was funny and they probably should have learned what it was first. What did you think?
ReplyDeleteI think that it was a funny mistake for them to accidentally steal underwear instead of stealing the gunpowder.

DeleteNo because it was in a cereal box so they couldn't see or feel it. They should have shook the box to see what was in it before they took it.
DeleteI would like to talk about how Knud and his little group of friends started this club. I was actually very surprised when this all started because they are like our age and are doing very brave things. I was also very surprised by the things they were doing, they were always a little distraction and caused some problems so far in the book.

ReplyDeleteI don't think they would be really scared but they kept trying to do things to make Hitler mad. They also are trying to get him out of their country and they are trying to do everything they can to kick him out.
DeleteI'd like to talk about the part when they first dropped the pamphlets on Denmark. I thought that it was kinda weird how they dropped the pamphlets. They were kind of invading their privacy. Did you think it was kind of rude?
ReplyDeleteHonestly , I think privacy was the least of people's concerns at this time .
DeleteI think they were more concerned that they were going to get killed then their privacy.
DeleteI thought this was different, if I was one of them at the time I wouldn't of expected that. But also, I don't think they really cared at the moment and wear more worried about staying alive.

ReplyDeleteI would like to talk about the part where Knd and the Chirchill club just did stuf that now would get you taken' to jail. But they still did it and the consequences would be probly a lot worse back then because the Nazi had control on what to do to them. Witch made the risk a lot higher. Now if you where to steal a gun you would probly have to go to jail for many years. Maby at that time they would have just shot you. What do you think would happen if they got cought steeling a gun?

DeleteI think that they'd probably get shot. I think that because the Nazi's were always armed. If they saw someone breaking their law they'd probably just shoot them.

They don't care if you're a 89 year old who can't move , a 1 year old who can't talk , or a 20 year old who has everything going good for them . It's all about killing , and defeating . I personally , don't agree with it. What about you?
