Part of book: When Malala wrote her diary for the paper.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts:I think that is awesome that she got the opportunity to do something like that. It is a great way to speak your voice and opinion.
Question: What would happen to her if she did get caught, because she was using a fake identity?
I'm sure she would be a big target to the Taliban. She would have to hide for a life and not tell anyone where she is. It's pretty risky doing this, but Malala is brave enough to do it.
DeleteI think that the taliban would try to find her and take her.
DeleteI think that she would get caught by the Taliban and the Taliban would probably send threats to her.
Deletei think that she will be caught and she will try to hide
DeletePart of Book: Ch. 12
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: I think Malala was doing a good job of not telling anyone about her being Gul Makai until her friend found out.Her father totally gave it away though.I wonder if the Taliban will be the next to find out about Malala.
Question: Will the Taliban be the next to find out about this? What will their reaction be?Did the Taliban already find out?
I'm sure the Taliban are trying to find out who this is, because they know her fake name, but not her real one... YET!
DeleteI think the Taliban will find out and I think they will kill her and put her in the blood square as they call it now, but I don't think that they have found out yet.
DeleteI think the Taliban will find out sooner than later. I think that they will start sending death threats to her.
DeleteI think that if the Taliban found out that they would be very shocked and would dislike her a lot. They would probably put her and her family a target for disobeying him or speaking against him.
DeleteI think that if the Taliban found her that would be really bad and disobey her
DeletePart for the book: When Malala is praying for the entire world.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: I think that that point of the book is a great example of how much she cares about others. At first, she was praying for her family, then the neighborhood, then the world. That shows how much she cares for others.
Question for you: When do you think that Malala's kind actions will start to have the Taliban targeting her?
I'm sure she will be getting targeted at soon. They were really good at catching stuff like that.
DeleteYou are absolutely right about her caring about others and how much that shows it. She was praying for everybody, and everything around her. She truly is an inspiration to all of us for sticking up for what she believes in, and in this case it is women's rights for education. I believe that the Taliban would be to scared to go after her after that. I think that now she is so well guarded and has so many people on her side that the Taliban won't go after her, at least not for awhile.
DeleteI think that many people care about her and protects her so that she will be safe from them.
DeleteI think when Malala starts speaking out in public, then they will start targeting her.
DeleteI also think that when malala starts to speak
DeleteI believe that she really cares about everybody like she was praying for EVERYBODY which is really nice to do.
DeletePart of Book: Earthquake
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: It sucked that it the earthquake happened. It was one of the worst earthquakes in history! Tons of people died and many villages were destroyed and had to be rebuilt. Even though it was a short chapter it was very serious chapter.
Questions: Do you think that the Taliban are happy that the earthquake came or do you think that they wanted this to happen so girls schools would get shut down or destroyed.
I think that they are happy that it happened, but at the same time a little sad because the earthquake did happen to them and it probably could have destroyed their home.
DeleteBoth I think the Taliban thought this would help them and I think they liked it when the earthquake happened because it could help them destroy the school. They would also be able to shut down the school faster because they are vulnerable.
DeleteThe Taliban might be happy, if the earthquake destroyed buildings or people that they targeted, but if it harmed thing that they needed, they might think otherwise...
DeleteWell, Malala's country was very weak because of that earthquake. The Taliban took that chance to fight. In that way, the Taliban must have been happy that the earthquake happened.
DeleteI think the Taliban would probably be happy if the earthquake destroyed the buildings or people that they targeted.
DeletePart of the book: Malala's Diary
ReplyDeleteMy thought: I thought it was really cool that she got such a big opportunity like this. Even though she had to write secretly and she had to have a secret name it was still pretty cool. Writing for the BBC would be pretty risky, because of the Taliban, but still a fun thing to do.
Question: What happens if the Taliban finds out about this?
I also think it was a great opportunity for her to write this diary. I agree that it would be tricky to dodge the Taliban.
DeleteI think that if the Taliban found out that they would want to hurt her and her family because she and her family disobeyed and talked against them. I think that the Taliban would try to hurt anyone that knew about her secret.
DeletePart of the book: When it was a secret school.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: I think it is really depressing and sad how school for them has to be a secret and how she has to stay indoors during their winter break. I think that is getting out of hand because for them to not know if they leave to go back for school they won't know if their school is gonna be there or is it gonna be burned to the ground is really bad.
Question: How have the school girls that went to school haven't got a personal threat yet?
I think that the school girls haven't gotten a personal threat because the Taliban don't know which girls are going to the school.
DeleteThey probably haven't gotten a personal threat because it is a secret school.Secrets are not supposed to be known.Maybe nobody that is bad knows of the girls going to school secretly.
DeletePart of book: Malala's family
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: I think it is good that she loves her family and jokes around with them and plays with her younger brother witch is 10 years old.
Question: Is Malala's life just like us? It seems like it is kind like ours
I think that Malala's life is like ares in some ways but different in other ways.
Deleteyeah i thought that she would be poor and not healthy but she is healthy and wealthy.
DeleteHer life is like ours in the beginning of the book, when it is all peaceful, but as the Taliban start to "creep" into Pakistan.
DeleteYes, she does sound like she would be the loving and caring type!
DeleteI don't think it's like ours because she had to go through the Taliban and a earthquake which is different than us. She and her country had to go through more with all the wars and bombings. Also she has to go to a secret school and that is not what we have to go through. So I don't think that our life is the same as hers but it is the same as the fact that she is very caring and loving.
DeletePart of the book:The Earthquake.
ReplyDeleteThere was a super bad earthquake that happened and many people were hurt and killed.
My thoughts: I think that this was a horrible thing that happened and many innocent people were hurt.
Question: What was going through peoples heads when this happened?
i think people were sad because of everyone who died.
DeletePart of Book: When the guy on the radio first started talking
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: The guy on the radio is so sexist and nobody is doing anything about it until it is almost too late.
Question: Why is the guy on the radio using religion as a excuse to be sexist and mean to other people especially women?
The Radio Mullah knows that everybody's weak spot is religion in that country. He could say anything he wants without anybody stopping him.The people listening to the Radio Mullah will do as he says to be good people. As a person does that more and more, they will believe in whatever the Mullah says. The Radio Mullah has a lot of power in his hands.I think that maybe he is working with the Taliban and they also got power.
Deleteyeah that guy is weird and mean to people.
DeletePart of the Book: The part where she was talking about getting sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: How would she be able to get sleep at all, because I would of probably wouldn't be able to get sleep if I heard gunshots and explosions near my house. I think that she probably got used to the explosions and the shooting because they hear it on a daily basis.
yeah your probably right she might have gotten used to the gun shots.
Deleteyeah i also think your probably right
Deletepart of book:when mala goes to school and gets caught by the taliban.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts:they could have killed their fair and square.
Question: will they come after her family and kill them?
Question: Would you be able to get sleep at night with her circumstances.
ReplyDeletei wouldn't be able to but when i get used to it i would b e used to it.
DeleteI think most people would have a hard time getting a good amount of sleep, but you hopefully would get a little bit.
DeletePart Of the Book: When malala is unable to come out she has a secret thing were she can talk to her nabor and friends to see if their ok.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: its not really right to be able to that i mean she should just be able to go over there and talk but she can't
Part Of The Book: Malala's secret door.
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: I believe that it is really cool that she got to have a chance to have that and it is really amzong and cool that she gets to leave and go see her friends and everything.
