Chapter 7 What was it like to have the titanic sink. That must of been scary when it sank
ReplyDeleteSpencer Andrews
I think it would have been very scary because you could drown and die
DeleteIt must have been very traumatizing because one second you were sound asleep or just happy and the next you were in either a NDE or you actually died. All of us are afraid of death for no logical reasoning.
Deleteit was probably a really scary thing because your all happy and then a boat his a iceburg
DeleteWhen water got into the boat
ReplyDeleteIn this part of the book the book hit the ice burg and water got into the boat and they closed there water doors but the didn't hold the water back
That was really scary even if they didnt even feel it
DeletePart of book:chapter 5
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: I thought that they should have explained the boat sinking more because it could have been explained more.
Question:if they got hit by an iceberg once how come the didn't check for damages better than they did
I think they should have explained the boat sinking part better to.They was a weird part to
DeleteI agree that there should be more information on the boat sinking because this book IS all about the story of the Titanic and the other major boats made in 1912.
DeleteI agree with you. When the ship hit the iceburg, you definitely would've felt the ship move a bit, and ice would've been on the ship. To me, it is silly, the fact that the crew was clueless about what had happened. Water was filling up at the bottom and they completely missed where the burg actually damaged the boat. I believe they should've looked/checked better than they did because I bet the ship wouldn't've sank with quick repairs.
Deletepart of book: when the boat was flooding
ReplyDeletemythoughts: the doors are water tight but why is there water still coming through
question: why would it still be flooding if there was water tight doors
The water was in the front five compartments putting weight and pressure on the hull of the ship causing the ship to go nose first in to the water.
DeleteThe reason the water got throw I through was because they didn't close the doors fast enough so it got throw
DeleteThat was really scary
DeletePart of Book: Chapter 8
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: Lifeboat #7: Less than 30 people on the boat!?!??!??!?!?!?
Question: Yes, I understand that it was legal to not have enough lifeboats, but why wouldn't they put more people in one boat if the people could've fit?
Hunter B.
DeleteThe people thought that if there were more people on the boat it would capsize under the weight.
i think they thought that the life boat would probably sink with all the weight on the of the pepole
DeletePart Of Book : Page 88
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts : Apparently, the Titanic was SUPPOSED to be practically unsinkable because it was built with "Special Material" that would prevent the ship from leakage. So, why didn't the Titanic's watertight doors keep the ship from sinking?
My Question : Why was the Titanic labeled as unsinkable?
Well the compartments in the front where full of water and the weight put the nose of the ship into the water causing the ship to sink with the water coming from the top.
DeleteHunter B.
Deleteit was because of the latin foots of the word Titanic it was derived from Titanium and titan which are supposed to be the strongest things ever.
There food sounds good
DeleteI believe they said that because it was so big and a used material that they sought wouldn't sink

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts. They sent one person to look for damage if they hit the iceberg and he didn't even go anywhere near the damage he did in fact only go to F Deck. And then he told the Captain that the titanic was ok when they where taking in water fast.
Question. Why did they send one person to look for damage if they have so many crew members.
Hunter B.
Deleteit was probably because of the casualties that might have been
probably because the pepole would be worried if they knew if it was damaged and you dont want pepole to start freaking out
DeleteProbably because if it was that bad then they could have lost some of their crew members but if they lose one it's not such a big deal

ReplyDeletePart Of Book:
THe beginning of chapter Four
My Thoughts:
If the equipment needed fixing there should have been an engineer on board the ship. If the Captain got that many warnings he should've changed course. If the Morse code workers are asleep there should be a noise that wakes them up to receive the message. If the Captain got the messages he should've had more people on lookout for icebergs. Why did he go slower the captain knew that the sip was sinking. Message to the morse code workers if the message deals with ice you give it to the captain.
My Question is:
Why would the people on the Titanic act this way?
Well Hunter they were rich and arrogant and the workers thought the boat was perfect and needed no repairs because it was the one and only "UNSINKABLE TITANIC" But the people working the wireless machines should have common knowledge of how to fix the machines but if there was any engineers on the titanic the maybe only maybe the titanic would have survived.
