When the cop stoped Oswald why didn't the cop asked more questions to Lee. I think that the cop is not smart because he only asked one questioned to Lee. What does the cop only asked two or one questions he should have asked more to Lee?
ReplyDeleteHe probably just thought he was a innocent worker. But, imagine how the police officer felt after he was caught at the movie theater.
DeleteI think that he should've since he has a "suspicious package" in the backseat.
DeletePart of book: Page 115
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: In the book there was a picture of two people in the school book depository and they heard gunshots and cartridges hit the floor. Why didn't they try to block both stairwells so that the person could be found easier?
Question: What do you think about this issue?
Well when we talked about it maybe they only blocked the front staircase. The book said it he went down the back stairwell.
DeleteOr why didnt they just go up there to see who it was.
DeleteI think that they should have tried to block the stair case. But they were probably nervous and I'm assuming they didn't think about it. It must have been very scary anyways.
DeleteWhy would they go up there come on tthe should of gone up there.
DeleteThe part of the book I would like to discuss is the "escape plan" of Lee Harvey Oswald. What I didn't understand is why he would ride a bus stuck in traffic right after killing the president. Also he then shot a police officer and went into a movie theater without paying for a ticket. All those would attract the cops and he would get caught. My thoughts about this part is that he did not do a good job at escaping. Although, that's a good thing. I just thought that he did not do very smart things while "escaping." Do you think Lee's escape plan was well thought out?
ReplyDeleteI thought that to, why did he take a bus, why did he shout that police officer. All questions I thought of too.
DeleteI thought that too. I mean I can understand taking the bus which would get stuck in traffic because maybe the police would think he is farther ahead then he really is.
DeleteI thought he didnt have a very well thought out plan. He was not very clear of what he was doing. He had a couple of different escape plans, but none of them seemed like they would work very well.
DeleteI don't think he thought his plan out very well. I agree, why would he want to go to all of these places that are attracting police? Why wouldn't he go somewhere where there aren't a bunch of people and traffic?
DeleteWhen Kennedy was shot
ReplyDeleteWhy did Oswald leave all of the evidence at the scene. His gun and the bullet cartridges were left there. Why did he do that?
Yah wouldn't they get the fingerprints and trace it back to him.
DeleteMaybe he wanted to get out faster. He probably didn't want to get caught.
DeleteI think he was just so nervous that he panicked and forgot the reality of the situation.
DeleteYeah. That was pretty dumb to leave all of it behind because they can just get the fingerprints from the gun. He didn't really think all of the disadvantage of this.
DeleteYeah that was pretty dumb on Oswald part so now the police knows who did it.
DeletePart of Book: When Oswald is talking about where he is going to shoot the president.
ReplyDeleteMy thought: When he was talking about where he was going to shoot the president from I would think they would be able to see him. I mean wouldn't they see the gun out of the window. And wouldn´t they look up after the gun was fired and see him.
Question: Do you think they would see him.
I think that they would've because the gun's barrel was supposedly long and stuck out the window a lot. It's be kind of hard not to notice it with an loud gunshot too.
DeleteI think in the book Oswald chose that window because he could stay farther inside of the building because he could look through the window and still see and shoot the president.
DeleteI also think that they would have seen the gun. i don't know how someone would miss it.
DeletePart of the Book; When Oswald is figuring out the shooting plan.
ReplyDeleteMy Thought: From the 6th floor window where he is going to plan to shoot JFK, I think someone would see the barrel of the rifle sticking out of the window. Someone would surely see the gun then and get curious about what it is. Oswald would get caught for sure.
Question: Wouldn't someone see him?
I think that the reason that people did not see the end of the rifle is because if the most important man in america drove right past you would you be looking at all of the buildings and completely ignoring him? I think all of the people wanted to get a glimpse of the president when he drove past him and they did not want to miss anything.
DeletePart of book: When Oswald Lee was going into the place where he wanted to shoot the president at
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: I don't understand why he wanted to plan everything there. There are obviously people there that see him.
Question: How did he not get caught?
The people there probably weren't concerned with what Oswald was doing. They were more concerned about the JFK going by and stuff like that.
DeleteI think the people were just too shocked to notice.
DeleteI think that everyone was too shocked to notice anything except for the president got shot by Lee harvey Oswald.
DeleteI agree everyone was too shocked to notice him.
DeletePart of Book: Where Oswald is shooting and plans to escape.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts: Why would he shoot out an obvious open window when there were thousands of people below him. I mean someone had to have looked up and saw him. Also, I think the gun was loud enough that someone would've looked up and alerted the authorities, so why would he consult such a risky escape, especially with so many people around? Also why would he leave the evidence behind? The gunshot was so loud that people could see where it was coming from. The cops were probably pretty quick to investigate the crime scene.
Question: Do you think Oswald's escape plan was clever enough to by him some time? Why or why not?
I do not think that his plan was clever enough because he lost time going on a bus and taking a taxi. He could of just taken a bus to mexico right away so he could get away.
ReplyDeleteI agree, he didn't plan very well. He should have thought it out more.
