Part of Book:Zeev Sapir being trown out.
ReplyDeleteMy thought: I would hate to be lied at saying we will help you in a better place and then never seeing your your family and surviving.
My question:If Zeev had the chance to see his family again what would he do.
If Zeev ever got the chance to see his family again, he would most likely take the opportunity, because after thinking they were dead, it would be amazing to be able to see them again.
DeletePart of Book: When Eichmann met his family in Argentina, and Vera asked Eichmann about the crimes that the newspapers had told about him committing, and he told her that he had never done a single death to a Jew.
ReplyDeleteMy Thoughts: I thought it was weird/impossible that Eichmann was able to lie to his family about what he was doing during the war, why all of the newspapers talked about his crimes, and how Vera and Eichmann even got married considering the fact that she was obviously against the Holocaust, and he was pretty much responsible for it.
My Question: How do you think Eichmann was able to lie to his family (how did it make him feel, or why did he feel the need to lie to the people closest to him?)
I think what happen what he did was to threat his family.
DeletePART OF THE BOOK -
ReplyDeleteDiamonte was kind of following Vera little bit. It seemed like he was stalking her a bit. THen one day he was there to pick upo her groceries when she dropped them.
MY THOUGHTS -
My thoughts on this specific topic is that it seems like he was really into her and it seemed like he never even met her. I just think this is really creepy and awkward.
MY QUESTION -
My question is why did he act this way and did vera know that he was following her to like the grocery store and th post office? Maybe she thought a coincidence that he was everywhere she was... I just think that's creepy in my opinion.
I think he followed her around because it was the only lead so far that they had on Adolf Eichmann, so he wanted to get as much information that she knew about Eichmann, so that they could get a lead as to where Eichmann was hiding. It also said in the book, that when he was with her, he wanted to kill her kids right then and there, because he thought what Eichmann did was horrible.
