  1. Part of Book: Why on Earth would Ferenc jump of the train. Honestly does Ferenc knew he could of gotten hurt.
My Thoughts: I was for sure he was hurt. I also, thought that maybe a lot smarter if he didn't jump of the train.
Question: What did you think about Ferenc jumped off the train?

    1. I think he had to do what he had to do. He knew that the risk of getting hurt way over wayed the coast of getting caught by the Nazies and getting killed. That is what I think he thought in that moment at that time.

    2. I also think that if he stayed on the train he could of been killed in a concentration camp. Also i think the train was coming in at a slower pace because it was going to stop at the station.

Part of book: In this part of the book the main character (Ferenc) walked straight up to the Arrow Cross headquarters. Ferenc then declared that he was a refugee from Siofok and had experience as a watchmaker, and the Commander allowed him as an inspector for the watches. I think that Ferenc was smart to try to get the job because of two reasons. The first reason was that the Nazis will not raid his living quarters because it is owned by the organization. Also Ferenc will not have to deal with checkpoints because he works in the factories for the nazi's. What other Pro's or Con's are there for this event?

    1. He is very smart, he knew that if he could trick the Nazies into trusting him then he could live a life without fear of house raids. After he had fooled them it was easy living without fear of the Nazies.

Part of book: When Ferenc decides to get fake papers to represent who he is. He was told that some people couldn't handle the pressure and were caught making small mistakes with their story of who they were and ended up being killed.
My opinion:It would be hard to do this. I personally would make mistakes on who I was and my story. If I had to lie and have a possibility of being killed if I didn't tell my story right, well I would just hide instead of being in the open.
Question:Could you do this and how would you make sure you story doesn't fall apart on you. Would you go into hiding or would you make fake papers.

    1. I would do it and I would do exactly what Ferenc did. He put himself in a position where he was not getting attacked every other day but he still had some freedom of here he went. Also, He worked in a factory for the Nazi's which did not make him a suspect to be a Jew.

    3. I also would have some setbacks, because I am not a very good at lying. If I would try to lie I would try to change things and I would be caught very fast.
