"And What about Fiona? She Loves the Old!"......... "Fiona is already being trained in the fine art of release," The Giver told him. "She's very efficient at her work, your red-haired friend. Feelings are not a part of the life she's learned."
I chose this quote because Jonas loves Fiona and now he's finding out she KILLS people too. Is it Fiona's fault? What is the problem here? Is this why Jonas agrees to the plan?
"I'm gratefull to you, Jonas, because without you I would never have figured out a way to bring about the change. But your rolll now is to escape. And mine is to stay."
I chose this quote because I feel like it is very emotional and beutiful, and it shows how much the giver and jonas have grown together and love eachother. Ithink it is amazing. But I also kindof feel bad for jonas because the Giver can't go with him.

I Chose this quote because i thought it was interesting because earlier in the book for his rule number 8 was you may lie and the giver said he has never lied to jonas so does that mean he honestly shouldn't lie. Is this a hint to jonas how he should if he ever turns in to the giver.
He killed it! My father killed it!... "Bye-bye little guy," Jonas heard his father say before he left the room. The screen went blank... "Well, there you are Jonas. You were wondering about release" He said in a bitter voice.
I chose this quote because, I think that it was a very important part to see how Jonas reactes to different things.
When I read this It made me think that the entire world is this way and they are just one tiny community. At the beginning of this book I was led to believe this was it the only area that was perfect.
"My work will be finished," The Giver had replied. "When will I have helped the community to change and become whole."
I chose this because I feel that this important to the book. I also thought that it is important to their plan. The giver said he is going to be finished but with what, his life. I'm confused.
"When I was younger than you, it began to come to me. but it wasn"t seeing beyond but it was hearing beyond.....
I think this is important because it could be a way to free the community by evoking emotion through music and overthrowing the elders helping the giver and Jonas complete their plan

For the first time in their long months together, Jonas saw him look truly happy. "Her name was Rosemary, " The Giver said
I chose this quote because we just figured something out that we never knew before, that the Giver had a daughter. Don't you think that since Rosemary was his daughter that when they talked about their feelings like everyone else does he would have talked her out of it? Maybe the Giver loves Rosemary so much that he loves her like a daughter, and they're not related could that be?

i chose this quote because it reminded the giver about how rosemary released herself and how she wanted to get it done really fast because she couldn't bear the pain

I choose this because the Giver is aloud to lie. Jonas can lie, the Giver can lie, Father lied, so can everyone lie? Did the Giver lie about not lieing?

I agree that it is the reason he said that he would. I think that she is the girl in he's stirrings. So that is why he will do the plan.
