First Period Gazette Investigates

After you share your Google Doc with Ms. DeVries, copy and paste your news article here to share with your classmates and the world.  Read over what others have written.  Write positive comments about the writing moves the journalists have made.  Think about what we've been learning and compliment based on their use of those lessons.

6th Hour - What should be done to keep schools safe?

We've been researching what we feel should be done to keep our schools safe.  We took this research and created position papers.  Share your paper here.  Then read at least 2 other papers.  Leave a positive comment about either their idea or their craft moves as an author (you can do both!).

The Lottery by Shirley Jackson

Share your literary essay with the rest of the students that chose this short story.  Take some time to read 2 or 3 other essays.  Comment on them.  Your comment should be about something you noticed them doing well from our lessons.  For example, "You did a really good job explaining your evidence."
