It was a regular Thursday morning in Ms.Devries third hour class. And there was a knock at the door. It was Mr.Reath and he said “All banned or challenged books would be taken off the self.” Everyone was shocked and started making a plan to change the school boards mind. After they figured out a plan Ms.Devries told everyone to start writing about what happened. At the end of class, she told everyone in her third hour class that it was just a joke.

ReplyDeleteAt 9:45 A.M. in Ms. DeVires classroom. Ms.DeVires heard a knock on the door. Mr. Rueth walks in, he stepped into the middle of the classroom. He announced “ The boars decided last night that all the banned and challenged books need to be taken off your selves”. ms.DeVire was very surprised pn thi, She didn’t know what to do . She asked: is this just fro e or all the teachers?” she glanced at her books and said that all her books were pretty much challenged or banned. She had no idea what she was going to do with all her books. She later realized that she taught a kid that is now a teacher that had a truck. So she told her class that she was going to call him. Ms. DeVires was very shocked that they decided on this. Ms. DeVires then just told her classroom to start writing a story so all the class pretty much wrote about what happened. She told her classroom that the lesson she was teaching was to make the kids believe that something actually happened. So she lied to the classroom. All the kids were very mad at them and they got their books back. She took the books when Mr.Rueth left the classroom because all the kids books were banned or challenged so she had to take them all away.
John and LIz Bliese are building a new restaurant called Johnny B’s. That building that they have now will be torn down and in its place will be a brand new bigger and better restaurant. At their new place they will be able to seat 100 people at once, have a bigger kitchen, a pool table, two patios, two stories, two full bars, a waitress station and a lounge. All of this will be happening at Saddle Ridge Golf Course starting October 20th and the construction will be done in about 5 or 6 months.
ReplyDeleteSeptember 29th, 2019 workers for Cummings truck load created a fundraiser for their co-worker who is too sick to work. He couldn't come into the job and wasn't getting paid from home, he didn't have enough money to pay medical bills. The fundraiser was held at a bowling alley in Janesville Wisconsin. A simple place next to a river with music, and food, a bar and tons of bowling lanes. The fundraiser was like a ticket drawing. One dollar per ticket to get drawn for prizes, such as a new tv or coat, gift baskets and other things. Almost everyone who was able to, came to the fundraiser, they ended up making an unknown amount of money, but considering how well it went they would say around a few thousand. It’s almost guaranteed they will be doing this again, like they did for the last few years. We can tell here that a bit of money and a bit of fun, can go a long way.

A Reporter drove past the house and observed that Mr. Wolf’s house had been blocked off by caution tape. And that the house had lots of police officers, sitting outside of the house. This has been NewsPaper 70000000.
ReplyDeleteMonday October 15 a boy and his father are in the basement. The boy is playing with his baby brother, and the father doing laundry. The baby see through the maze of toys in the back of the basement. He sees a green and blue badge, and he wants it. The problem is it is a tent. The dad had flashbacks of the tent. The tent was a big one it was made to fit the whole family. It is october fifteenth and it is cold, so they aren't going outside, but the tent is 10 feet tall and 17 feet long. The tent is also 18 years old, and the directions are gone. They had to free hand it, and that went about as good as you expected.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever played football? Well the portage 8th grade football team played their last game of the season on tuesday 10-8-19 on bob mael field at 6:00 o'clock central time.
ReplyDeleteThey took on beaver dam for their last game on a nice green grassy field with a giant orange flying P in the middle.̈ Both teams were looking for a win ̈ the reporter said beaver dam was hot with the run running on portage left and right. The coach for portage said ̈bury them then bury the shovel.¨
The pass game was working for portage late in the game passing for a touchdown on the lush green field. But in the end portage could not pull the win out with beaver dam winning the game by two touchdowns. Portage was very upset with the loss but it was the end of the season.
Vaping deaths

On the date October 15, 2019, 14 people have died due to the “safer alternative to cigarette smoking” which is vaping. What was once a way to for adults to quit using cigarettes, has now taken a deadly turn, adults (now children, mostly teenagers) have been getting an unknown disease from these modern devices. Some of there symptoms are chest pain, hard to breath, and wet lung. These vaping carts are coating the users lungs with dense vapor which is causing the lungs to react badly. Some users use devices that absolutely scorch their lungs due to high temperatures. All in all, I don't recommend using these vaping devices.
This summer my siblings and I went to Texas to visit my family. My grandparents and my stepmom and all 7 kids went to a pizza place on a saturday afternoon around 6:00pm the pizza place was called peter piper it was basically an arcade with games and pizza.When we were about to leave i went to cash in my tickets and then i remembered my phone my uncle was by me so I asked if he had my phone he said that he did not have it so I went to my grandma because she always keeps everyone's phone so they are safe she said she did not have it so me and my step sister Lily went to look for it, we could not find it, it turns out that someone took it and left I know this because I had an iphone and my brother used find my iphone but now iI have a new phone so it is fine I will always give my phone to my grandma because of what happened.

ReplyDeleteSchool ball had just started and a kid was 3 days into practice the practice to decide teams. He was sure to work as hard as he could because he knew if he was not on the good team it wouldn't be as fun.
The way they made teams were by shots made in a minute at certain spots. They were on the third, two more left it was layups were easy. The thing with this is that 2 people would go at the same time. Eventually coach counted down 3, 2, 1 GO he sprinted when up at the same time as the other player. The player landed on the other and rolled his ankle and was the ground in pain yelling from pain even. He sat out for practice and they called names for what team you were on. Blah blah blah and his name was called he was so ecstatic not many people were on that team. Sadly after practice he went to the E.R and he sprained his ankle. It took him two weeks for him to recover he played fair and then hoops club started!
It was a typical Thursday morning for Ms. DeVries 3rd hour, until around 9:40 they hear a knock at the door. Then the principal walks in with a stack of papers and hands one of them to Ms. DeVries. He blurts out that “ All banned or challenged books woud have to be taken off all the shelves, and had to be out of the school”. All the students looks speechless but worst of all Ms. DeVries looked worried. She started collecting all the students books and putting them in the back of the room. The students start thinking of ways they can help out Ms. DeVries but they are clueless, then Ms. DeVries loses it and is questioning what she is going to do with all of these books that cant be here. Then she walks to the back of the class again and says read the board… it was all a joke and she didnt have to get ride of all her books. The whole class was so mad at her, but all the students got their books back. She explained how the lesson for the day was to create a story that wasnt real to get a reaction.
ReplyDeleteNear the end of the school year. All the students at BMS were excited. The dodgeball tournament had just begun. They were excited to see who the best homeroom was
ReplyDeleteAfter an exciting year of dodgeball, all the students were very eager to play. One group of kids in picticular. This homeroom were underdogs. They played first. The homeroom wanted to prove that they were underrated and to set the tone.
The problem was for this team is, they were missing 3 of their best players. The game started and our Underdogs could tell that this homeroom was much bigger, and it would be a really hard fight to win. But against all odds the Underdogs won. “It was so crazy.” said one student. Then other game they played that day they won too. There was a lot of jumping, throwing, and dodging.
The next day all the missing students showed up. The homeroom played second. They played against a really good team. But somehow the Underdogs pulled it out, and won. NOw there was only the championship game left. Bothy teams played long and hard. Near the end the Underdogs had more people. There was only a minute left but the Underdogs started to throw the rest of the balls. BUt that was their downfall. They caught the balls and ended up getting some of them down. So the other team won the championship.
Who will be the Underdog this year? How far will they go?
It was a regular morning in bartels middle school, It was the start of the third hour class. Ms.Devries was in the middle of teaching but at about 9:40 am the principal of the school came into the classroom talking about books being taken off the shelves. The children were devastated some even cried but most wrote about the event. The teacher of the class started to gather the childrens books so she could inspect them. Some kids started to think about loopholing the system by using the library books instead. After the rants ended the teacher exposed that is was a prank.
ReplyDeleteAn 8th grade reporter went to a soccer game at 2:30 in verona at the madison Renden soccer park good man pitch A the field was made of artificial turf. As soon as he heard that whistle that went “tweet” he knew that it was game time. The 8th grade was cheering on for Portage Heat 13-14 Youth their goalie scored on himself what a change of events because now the score is 8-1. Eventually Portage Heat lost to Regent Royal 14-15 Youth.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fresh game. The Portage soccer team “Heat” was at a Madison turf field and was going against another soccer team. They started the game. Heat had control of the ball because Heat were guests of the field. Everything was ok Heat had the ball and were dribbling it up the field until one of the other team’s defense got control of the ball and passed it up the field. The defense got into position fast as the other team’s player bolted down the field. One of Heat’s mid defenders got to pressuring the ball even though the left defender should have been pressuring but they broke free of the mid defender and continued to run to the goal and the left defender…. did nothing. The left defender was shorter and slower than most of the team. He also pushes because is slow and short. Back to the game and everyone was trying to stop the ball from getting any further by shouting at the left defender to “PRESSURE THE BALL” but he didn’t run, he even didn’t walk. He just stared at the ball as it was shot on the goal. The first goal of the game was scored.
ReplyDeleteA boy and his friend went to a trampoline park. So many families with their children would go the trampoline park called Knuckleheads on a gloomy Saturday afternoon. Right when you arrive you can feel the happiness and excitement in the air. Everything was going great until a teenage boy hit another boy (that looked around the same age) in the face with a dodgeball. Right after the boy was hit The mother that was watching her kid got very upset and started yelling at the boy and his friend. She said ̈ If you guys want to bean mean you can just leave.̈ The boys tried to explain that it was an accident but the mother insisted it was on purpose. The family left the dodgeball area in frustration. The boys were kind of upset and kind of and confused on why the lady treated them so bad over a clear accident but, they got over it. Moment after the boys were jumping they got bored up dodgeball and decided to play basketball. When they got to the basketball area the boy that got hit in the face was at a table was at the basketball area too she looked at them and stared at them. The boys asked for the ball and the girl said ̈ BUZZ OFF ̈ threw the basketball at the wall and stormed off. Her and her family returned several moments later. The girl told her family that the boy and his friend pushed her into a wall and took the ball from her a big argument erupted and a worker had to come and help handle things. After the interaction the boy and his friend decided to leave.
ReplyDeleteOn October 12, 2019 a group of friends was at Knuckle Heads. They were playing dodge ball and a family came in for a birthday party. They came over to dodge ball and their mom came over to watch. One of the friends hit one of the kids in the chest. He sreamed and said headshot, and he hit Alex in 5 times and hes not going out. So his mom got involved and starting to yell at Alex and Jasson. She got really mad so they left to go to the basket ball dunking. The little sister was there was they were waiting in line until their turn. She woulldn’t give it to them so we asked if they could have a turn. She took out here ear bud and said “how about you buzz off.”
ReplyDeleteThen she left told her family that they took the ball and shoved her against the wall. So the older sister came over wearing all black came over and started to yell at Alex and Jasson. Then the manager came over and knew they didn’t do that so they were going to leave anyways so we left. When they were walking out she just stared at them. Then they dropped off Jose and went home.
Ban books are disappearing

Mrs. Devries was going over the book of the day when someone knocked at the door who ever could it be it was the principal of the school Mr. Rueth. He stepped into the classroom and said in a sad voice “the reason why I am here is because the school board and that all banned or challenged books have to be removed from the school” we all screamed what! Mrs. Devries asked him where am i going to put all the books. Mr. Rueth just said “I don't know all i know is that they have to be out of the school” we are all so flabber smashed and outraged This is when Mrs. Devries had an idea she says “I know a teacher and if i bake him some crack brownies he will let me put the books in his trunk. Then we came up with an idea we can trade Mrs. Devries something for a book and then read it and they cant take the book away because it's ours and when we finish reading the book we trade back. We were going to protest, but when Mrs. Devries said make a better argument rather than scream louder we all calmed down with the protest when Mrs. devries started handing out our books that we were reading she said “this was all just a test to see how we would react and this was just how she wanted us to react. And that was the end of this story
ReplyDeleteAfter the 6th hour attendance the whole class went outside to do the rocket launch. My group went first and in my group was joe,mason,and me. We put our rocket on the launch pad and got it ready to launch we go back far enough to launch it 3.2.1. Nothing happens we try again 3.2.1. Nothing again we take the rocket off the launch pad and we let everyone go before us we are last. Not a lot of people’s rockets parachute came out our groups rocket was one of the only rockets parachutes to come out.
At 5:10pm on the 15th of October, two kids, were walking down the bartels middle school hallway and out of nowhere a teacher screeches to a stop in front of us. Out of the blue she screeches, “ WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?!” “NO LOITERING!” So as if on instinct, they bolted the opposite way. Then, guess what. She was right on their tail. The kids ran out of the building and into the parking lot. The teacher was finally gone, so as quietly as they could they sneaked back into the volleyball game going on. Pretending the recent event never just happened.
