  1. 8th grade football
The 8th grade football team went out the field in reedsburg. The 8th graders were ready to play. They went out there to win and had a lead of 6~0 through fourth quarter. With five minutes left Portage losses the lead. With ninety seconds left Caleb Drew got a touchdown. The crowd went wild. Portage held of the rest of the 4th quarter and won the game. Do you think Portage will win against them next year?

  2. Do you like expensive cars? Then go to paris.
On a cold paris morning there were pedestrians filling the streets. They were looking for new clothes and purses. The streets are filled with stores, cars and trees that are made for visiting.

On the day that this reporter observed the street, there were three famous , expensive and luxurious cars. There were some crossing guards helping some people cross the street while the cars were coming. The three cars were a Ferrari and two Lamborghinis.

This made the reporter think why were there so many expensive cars here. Then he remembered that lots of people that lived here. Also all around europe.

  3. Early on a cold Saturday morning the portage Wisconsin 6th grade football team played the Verona Vikings. It was the 6th graders last game of the season.

As I´m standing on the side line I see a tiny little boy running down the field. There Daven Delgado almost to the the end zone. There goes Daven Delgado scoring 6 points to give his team a lead along with a field goal by Garrett Ashbrook.

With 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter Verona gets a touchdown and a field goal to tie the game. Now Portage knows they have to get back in the lead.

With another touchdown by Daven, but a missed field goal portage is still in the lead. What a lucky play! ¨Hoooray¨ roars the crowd.

There goes 2 years of being an undefeated football team for the Portage Warrirors. ¨We did a great job and I was kinda surprised we won this last game¨ says Daven with excitement.

  4. The Dayton T. Spill

It was a normal day in Ms. DeVries’s class until…. The bell had just rang and kids were rushing to their classes to try and be on time but they were obviously late already. Ms. DeVries just walked into the door to being class, but something tragic (but funny) happened to poor Dayton T.

He was messing around before class started with his water bottle banging it on the metal part of the chair. All of a sudden the cap burst off and water spills everywhere. His fellow classmate named Drew C. yelled “IT’S A FLOOD!” and he jumps onto the seat of his desk. Poor Dayton or his nickname “Mr. T.” He placed his water bottle back on his desk but without the cap. Then Ms. DeVries said to Dayton “Dayton move your desk so that you can clean up the water.” Dayton started to move his desk, well let’s just say it didn’t end well.

The rest of the water in the bottle started rushing out and onto his seat of the desk, so if he sat down his butt would get soaked! Ms. DeVries starting laughing so hard that she started snorting! Then she said “Dayton clean up your spill and use these paper towels behind my desk.”

Anyways, there wasn’t enough there so he went to the bathroom to go get more, but the bathroom was out of paper towels too. Dayton had enough to wipe off his seat so that he could sit down, but we had to watch where we stepped otherwise we would have slipped and fallen. Dayton T. was embarrassed because everyone was laughing at him. Wouldn’t it be embarrassing if this happened to you?

  5. It was a nice and normal day is Ms. DeVries’ 7th hour…….until it turned terrible. It all started normal normal. Laci, Marissa, Asja laughing at god knows what, Jamie and Hunter were talking also about nothing, and Drew just being Drew. Dayton was casually tapping his water bottle on the desk next to him. To be completely honest nobody seemed to know what he was doing and maybe even he didn’t know either.

Each tap seemed to be louder than the previous until it seemed as if he was smashing it on the desk. No one was paying any close attention until…...POP! Goes Dayton’s water bottle cap flying across the room!

Next thing you know, there is water everywhere and everyone was laughing. Ms. DeVries walked in right before he spilled so she saw everything. “Dang it Tessmer! Clean it up,” she says very casually for the situation, while handing him not many paper towels.

While Dayton was cleaning up, all of a sudden he says,”There’s none left.” “Use the cardboard,” Drew adds comedically. Ms. DeVries says,”Go get some from the bathroom.” Everyone then explains how there isn’t any paper towels in the boy’s bathroom closest to her room.

So, in the end she just moved the desks and let it dry and continued on with class like any other day.

I guess accidents do happen in one of the most perfect classroom environments, especially Ms. DeVries’ 7th hour.

  6. A long cold night

On a very cold friday night alot of kids and parents went to the Portage football game in Portage, Wisconsin.

It was a really cold night. People were in coats and hats and everything to keep themselves warm. Their were a lot of kids from the middle school talking to each other.

At half time it was 32 to 0. After the field show and all the cheerleader stuff a lot of portage people mostly kids went home or to Culvers.

At the end of the game the final score was 49 to 0 portage lost.

At Culvers there was this long table full of high schoolers. These two girls named Marissa and Payton sat across from the annoying high schoolers. ¨ The boys got very annoying and kept coming up to us,¨ said Marissa. The boys kept asking the girls questions but the girls just ignored them.

Three of the boys came up to the girls to ask for there recite, so they could fill out the survey and get free ice cream. They finally left the girl alone after they let the boys have the recite.

Around 10 o'clock all the kids started to leave and go home. At 10:30 pm. Everyone had disappeared. The night was over and everyone was happy.

  7. On Wednesday October 11th what seemed like a normal average almost the entire grade was tricked. According to what various students said “we had no clue really what to think”. Mr. Rueth Walked in during an important lesson and tells the teacher Mrs. D to take all banned or challenged off the shelves immediately. Everyone panicked and didn’t want to lose their good books. The entire class was complaining and yelling.

Then Mrs. D had to start the lesson. The lesson was about how to write a article. Mrs. D told a reporter that taking the books away was part of the lesson plan. Her plan was to get the kids upset about losing their books so they have a good idea for an article to write. The prank lasted all class almost till the end of the school day.

Kids were offering to help take books out of the class. “Then things started to get sketchy” Hunter said. Mrs. D started handing the books back that were banned. After all that ruckus, Mrs. D told the students that this was all just a prank and the class flipped out. The students just got all their hopes down but not now. Mrs. D had pranked all the classes that day just for her lesson plan. Not Mrs. D can not be trusted by many of her own students.

  8. Picture the scene, the Champs-Elysees, Paris France in 2014, the most famous street in paris. On this street sat three eastern people on the sidewalk. No one bat an eye or tried to asked if they needed any help. Instead they just kept walking by minding their own business.

Not twenty yards away, sat three expensive cars, two Lamborghinis and a red Ferrari. As a car show went down a street away, three possibly homeless people, that may be in need of help. So tell me, if you had the mony to help someone out of a tough spot, would you give it to them?

Enjoy the outdoors? Love the fresh air and the beautiful colors of fall? Well if you do the Mackenzie Center Fall Festival in Wisconsin Is the perfect place for you! This event occurs every year in October.

This location is known for its yearly festival. They do this to celebrate the beginning of fall.

This festival is a family friendly fall festival with many activities. These include archery, and air guns.

One visitor states that “It's a beautiful part in Poynette.”

It can seem fun for almost everyone, but almost everyone. Some people have allergic reactions to the outdoors.

One reporter observed someone having a severe reaction, sneezing so much it looked like he couldn’t breath. There is medication but it doesn't last forever. Question this, is this really effective place for everyone.

  10. The class prank
It was 3:45 and the eighth graders were all in there seventh hour. Jamie peters told me they were in the middle of their lessen. When the principal walked with a note that he gave to Ms Devries. The students said she gave this scared nervous look like the world was gunna end. Also they told me that she said the school board was gunna get rid of all the banned or challenged books by the end of the day. Dayton told me that everyone was so confused and surprised. Hunter said Mis Devries was pacing back and forth trying not to cry, trying to hide the books with posters. Drew craig told me there was another teacher right by him and was telling mis devries like how could they do that and why would they do that. He also told that he saw Mis devries whisper to the teacher something. She was seen pacing around the room. Mrs Devries then announced to to the class that it was just a lesson she was teaching us. For that the Mrs devries told me the students were loud n very talkative after that and seem very confused. Also they seemed to settle down by the time the bell rang and left to go home.

  11. Every day, kids arrive late to class in Bartel’s Middle School. It looks like they ran the marathon when they arrive to class. In Portage Wisconsin, Bartels Middle, a reporter surveyed students on how to improvise. They all seem to vary on one thing, binders. Kids with only two or fewer binders arrive on time without going to their locker.

One interview was named Ben. He stated that before he used to arrive late. He would usually go to his locker and be late to class. In the end, he improvised and only used two binders for the whole day. He suggests that maybe it's not the time but how you manage that time. “If your having trouble, consider having fewer binders so you don’t have to go to your locker as much.”

Another Interview was with Julien. He had a little bit different story. Since he started school, he wanted to have few binders. He still uses this method to this day. His advice was that you should find any way not to be late.

Both of them have things in common. They both use the same method. Next time you blame the time, think about what you did. And how you can improvise or fix it? Now you don’t always have to blame on the time now.
