I was interested in the friendship between Mr. Fields and Leonora. He's white, but he's super nice to her. At first, when he was describing the Civil War I was worried that he might be racist, but I now I think that he isn't. What do you guys think?
I was interested and excited to read act 2 i thought it was cool that after a while leanora didn't even bother that mr.feilds was white but at first she didn't listen but after a while she did start listening and realized color doesn't matter the personality does and leanora thought the mr.feilds was pretty nice after all.

DeleteI was also interestedin the relationship between leonora and Mr.Feilds. I feel like Mr.Feilds had always been okay with blacks his entier life. I think they are going to beconme very good friends, and that he might just help her with the kkk problems. I think he could also help her to see not all whites are bad and you could give some people achance. I think there relationshipis nice. Whatdo you think?

DeleteWhen Merlin tried to save his girlfriend I think that he deserved a punishment because it was wrong and he did it so that they could be married. He kidnapped his girlfriend and they both got in trouble, and it was her idea to have him get her out and the marriage was her idea. And he does want to be part of the Klan because he wanted to wear the Klan's robes at their wedding.

Deletewhen i was reading this i thought about how johnny reeves says he is this perfect guy and it is everyone else who is doing is wrong (so the klan must believe what he is saying) which leads me to my point, what will happen if or when the kkk finds out that he is doing things in the bushes with girls, will they kill him or will they find out at all, what do you guys think

DeleteI was interested in how Mr.Fields did not care how she was black. He treated her like she was any other person. Mr. Fields told that she could come back anytime she wanted.

DeleteI was most interested in Mr,Field's. At first when he was talking about ww2 and the colored I thought he didn't like colored. When Leanora said she didn't know if he knew she was colored or not. I hope he knows she is colored because he is nice to her. He was going to give her a typewriter.They seem like good friends.

DeleteYeah, but then wouldn't she get into trouble herself anyways and have to go back. Isn't she an orphan so she would have to be adopted to get out wouldn't she? I don't see how she would have been able to do it. And I agree he shouldn't have done that it was a bad idea. I mean yeah for the mean things he says he kind of deserves this punishment for kidnapping his girlfriend.
DeleteI think that he would have still gotten in trouble if the Leopold thing hadn't happened because it's still wrong to kidnap his girlfriend whether she told him or not he still deserves it.
But Braden,he got her out of jail which is kinda saving her.Even though he failed.
Deletei really like the friendship between mr.fields and leanora. their friendship is really cool because for the first time in leanoras life someone likes her for what she does instead of hating her because of her color. also he doesn't know that she is black because he has really never seen her. so to him she is just another person that helps him do things. what is you favorite part?
ReplyDeleteI was also interested in the friendship between Leanora and Mr.Fields. I don't think Leanora liked him that much at first but I think once he started talking more on The Civil War she started to figure out he's against the Klan.
