I love to read, and it's hard to pick a favorite book. However, my favorite book right now is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. The book is about a young girl named Scout and her brother Jem. The book takes place in the South during the Great Depression. Scout's father is the town's lawyer and he is the defense attorney in a high profile case. In addition, Jem and Scout have an adventure that centers around their neighbor, Boo Radley. I love this book because of the powerful story that Harper Lee shares. I also love the way she uses language to paint a picture in your mind. You will read this novel when you get to the high school! I promise you will love it!
